Villa perlesukker - min favoritt kakeblogg

My favourite cakeblog amongst all of them are Villa Perlesukker. The blog is in Norwegian but you can easily find pictures to inspire you to create sweet wonders. And why not  use the colors  on the cake to inspire you to make your next card? Drop by and see what incredible sweet creations she is making.

Clean and crips design

I'm back again! After being away from blogging more or less for a year or more due to my wedding,  I am finally getting some normality back into my life.  I hope to breathe some life into my blog too, and hopefully also get around and comment on your blogs!

I made these cards to the challenge on "Less is more". We where given a sketch to follow and so I did. I love the sketch and I have allready made 17 cards to that sketch, both birthday cards and Christmascards. I am so totally in love with clean, crisp designs right now! I used Cuttlebug embossingfolders and some bling. I used different textures on the cardstock to get the card more interesting. The birthday card is on shiny white cardstock and the Christmascard is silver (does not photograph well...).

Tilbake igjen!

Cuttlebug + sugarpaste = true

I got married some few weeks ago and when that was over I was thrown into yet another big occasion as my  oldest daughter had her confirmation on Saturday. I decided to make her some really sweet cupcakes. They are carrot cupcakes with walnuts and chocolate. I rolled out some sugar paste which I then placed between the Cuttlebug folders and rolled a couple of times over it with the rolling pin. (Did not use the Cuttlebug machine as it presses the sugar paste too thin). The sugarpaste will not stick to the folders so they are so great to use with sugarpaste! They where then punched out with a frilled metal punch used for cakes and decorated with flowers and hearts. The hearts are made out of mould I usually use for my papercrafting, but they are just as great for sugarpaste. They where a great sucsess by the way!

Got married!

I got married on the 25 th of August 2012. A full year of preparation ended with the best wedding ever (according to the guests!). It was a perfect day in so many ways and we are so happy!

I have actually been crafting for the entire year, everything for the wedding I did myself, but I am really looking forward to do some crafting without any purpose besides having fun with it!

I know the next months also will  be buisy, we have a confirmation to celebrate next weekend and then both my hubby and I turn fifty. But after that... some day... after Christmas perhaps, I will hopefully find time to do some crafting of some sort.

Easter hens

----------------------------------------------

Ok. I admit it. Not much going on in my blog lately. My lost post was in December and was all about chocolate and now it's Easter and here are some hens I just made. I love the pattern and I love to make them so I will probably spend my Easter holiday sewing lots of them. Can't get enough hens, can I? I'll have to make some big ones as well and in every color available!

So what have been going on the last six months you might ask? Well, first of all I have changed my life completely. From being overweight and mortally obese I started exercising and eating right a year ago and have since then lost about 55 kilos. That is about 121 pounds. And since I have shrunk, many hours have been spent buying new clothes as well and enjoying life to the fullest. My energy level is above the roof at times so I have used some of it to paint the inside of several rooms in my house, and planning my upcoming wedding!

Not much time for crafting I am afraid, but today between cleaning my crafting room and going to see a play that Maia's class was putting on I managed to sew these hens. And actually I have been crafting quite a bit, but that has been wedding invitations, table cards, gift boxes etc.

We are by the way having the best weather EVER here in Norway the last days, with temperatures up to pluss 20 degrees Celsius. That is just wild! I have been walking around in shorts looking at all the flowers blooming and the trees that are bursting into small green leaves. That is totally wild, since it is only March and usually at this time of year we can have snow!

Well, I can not promise that I will post regularly in the future. There are tons of work to do in and outside the house, and we have a wedding, a confirmation and two birthdays (50+50) to prepare this year, but who knows? I might surprise myself!
I wish you a happy Easter!
